Undoubtedly, this years Super Bowl was the greatest of all time. The setting was great; the greatest offense in the history of the league, matched up with an unworthy opponent. But the game’s true hero wasn’t barely mentioned. Justin Tuck had two sacks and had a forced fumble against the unflappable Tom Brady. The Patriots were the most potent team, scoring 589 points in the regular season, and they were also undefeated in the regular season. Tom Brady and Randy Moss were huge factors in that dominant offense. Tom Brady had a career season, with a record 50 touchdowns and with a quarter back rating of 117.2. (that’s really good) Randy Moss caught a record 23 of those touchdowns. The Patriots were perfect, and ready to seal the deal on the greatest team in the history of the NFL. The unfortunate team to go up against the undefeated Patriots were the New York Giants. Now, the Giants had their share of success in the year. The Giants won 10 straight road games up until the Super Bowl, and they were winning the games they were suppose to win during the regular season. But they were still going up against the greatest offense in the history of the NFL.
The Giants won the game by getting to Tom Brady. Tom Brady has never been so beat-up during the Super Bowl in the entire season. The Giants sacked Brady five times, and knocked him down 18 times during the course of the game. The precise Brady could barely throw a pass without the defensive line touching him. Brady completed 29 pass of 48 attempts, this is a far cry of what he done in the regular season. In the first half New England only had 81 total offensive yards, which was caped off by Justin Tuck’s sack and forced fumble. Justin Tuck had a huge role in the slaughter of the Patriots offense. Tuck sacked Brady two times, had six tackles, and had a force fumble on Tom Brady, the only turnover the Patriots allowed. Justin Tuck also set the tone for the defense, he playing aggressively and ruthlessly.
