The digital divide is dangerous for our society, but this is a problem that will never be fixed. We have it pretty easy here in America. Most of us have computers with internet access, and cable, cell phones and everything in between. But there are some parts of the country that don’t even have cable. Our society would progress faster if all of us had access to an untapped source of information.  Non of us could fathom the thought of a society  using technology not only to make their lives easier but to solve everyday problems.

This scenario is rather complex.  So Sam sneaks Matt into an empty theater, but Matt buys his food from the concessions.  Well, frankly, the only party taking a hit here is Hollywood, and they’ve seen plenty of hits in the past 5-years.  This is unethical because sneaking into the movies and paying for food at the concessions is like a slap on the face for Hollywood, which has been facing declining ticket sales since 2002.

People are now login on to the internet to search for the newest products, the coolest gadgets, practically anything under the sun. Now the corporations don’t have to advertise on TV or radio, that was last centuries technology. Now it’s more convenient to advertise on the internet or just pop-up on the big search engines. The advertisers don’t have to pay production companies to make an expensive commercial that only a small percentage of their public would see. People are now spending 6 to 8 hours on the internet shopping or doing research on a product.

This should change the idealism of the colleges and businesses. Colleges cant simply advertise on buses or local stations, they’re only getting a small percentage of the population.  If someone from South Dakota wants to study Television Production, he will first go on the internet and search on Google for colleges that have a good TV program.

Yes Web 2.0 sites will make money in the future.  These companies have a really powerful tool, that will brink them money, but they really haven’t figured it out yet.  The solution is not with subscription;  why would you want to pay for socializing, when you can just invite your friends over, for free.  It will become a useless luxury.  There is so many uses for these types of websites that it just won’t go away in five-years.  For example, CBS has a new show on TV.  CBS can now put teasers on You Tube, have details about the new show on My Space, and they can also have pictures and short clips on their space to excite the public.  These companies probably don’t care that there not making money.

The concept about We the Media is rather simple;  it’s about one or a group of websites that it’s purpose is to broadcast the individual.  For example, My Space is a social website, that is that everyone can come on and comment on someones My Space and chat with them.  But what makes it exciting is that you can customize your space, put in pictures and videos so everyone can see and comment on them.  Now, why does this change everything?  Well now you have a heavy concentration of teens and people in their early 20s, which are a hard to reach demographic.  Thats why you have conglomerates buying up these websites because they absolutely need that young demographic.

The most effective way to advertise a school is through the internet, and I would dedicate $350,000 to web advertising and making the College’s website better.  Google has an advertising program called AdWords.  AdWords look very simple and you pay an activation fee and the number of times people click on your ad.  The lowest you can pay-per-click is one cent, and the cost-per-thousand is 25 cents.  This makes advertising a lot easier because instead of you looking for the customers,  the customers are now looking for you.

Undoubtedly, this years Super Bowl was the greatest of all time. The setting was great; the greatest offense in the history of the league, matched up with an unworthy opponent. But the game’s true hero wasn’t barely mentioned. Justin Tuck had two sacks and had a forced fumble against the unflappable Tom Brady. The Patriots were the most potent team, scoring 589 points in the regular season, and they were also undefeated in the regular season. Tom Brady and Randy Moss were huge factors in that dominant offense. Tom Brady had a career season, with a record 50 touchdowns and with a quarter back rating of 117.2. (that’s really good) Randy Moss caught a record 23 of those touchdowns. The Patriots were perfect, and ready to seal the deal on the greatest team in the history of the NFL. The unfortunate team to go up against the undefeated Patriots were the New York Giants. Now, the Giants had their share of success in the year. The Giants won 10 straight road games up until the Super Bowl, and they were winning the games they were suppose to win during the regular season. But they were still going up against the greatest offense in the history of the NFL.

The Giants won the game by getting to Tom Brady. Tom Brady has never been so beat-up during the Super Bowl in the entire season. The Giants sacked Brady five times, and knocked him down 18 times during the course of the game. The precise Brady could barely throw a pass without the defensive line touching him. Brady completed 29 pass of 48 attempts, this is a far cry of what he done in the regular season. In the first half New England only had 81 total offensive yards, which was caped off by Justin Tuck’s sack and forced fumble. Justin Tuck had a huge role in the slaughter of the Patriots offense. Tuck sacked Brady two times, had six tackles, and had a force fumble on Tom Brady, the only turnover the Patriots allowed. Justin Tuck also set the tone for the defense, he playing aggressively and ruthlessly.

The most preferred way to run a news paper is by localizing it; make the news paper part of the small community and bank on the local businesses. If you’re a newspaper in the South, and your public is all rural farm owners, then your best bet is to provide more stories that may effect that public, and provide ads of local businesses that may help that public prosper. The same goes for radio. You’re serving a community by helping them flourish financially and by informing them of their environment.

Education hasn’t changed in the past 50 years because technology hasn’t changed much to improve education. For the past 50 years we’ve been taught in a very traditional format. It involves an older person standing in front of a room, filled with younger people, interpreting what ever is in a textbook; this is very tedious. Education should be easy to take in and comprehend. The internet is a great tool, you can do many things with the internet. You can have a class write blogs so they can better understand the subject.

NFL films is a great location to visit.  It has state of the art technology that creates some of the best programing in TV and film.  NFL films also won an Emmy for its cinematography.  And NFL films is only 40 minutes from MCCC.
